SOUNDS NEW MUSIC PROJECT

Introduction

Brief

This was a music composition project involving myself working with students from two schools over a four-day period: four half-days in each school, followed by a public concert.  The schools were Saltwood Primary School and St Leonard's Church of England Junior School, both in Hythe, Kent. The result of my input was to be a piece of roughly eight minutes in duration, inspired by the project theme. The resulting compositions were performed at Canterbury's Gulbenkian Theatre, alongside pieces from three other schools who had been working with other composers.
